AutoCAD 2.18 (11-1-85) for IBM PC
Released in 1985 by Autodesk
For DOS

Minimum Requirements:
OS: DOS 2.x
CPU: 8088/86, 286 w/math coprocessor recommended
RAM: 512k
Hardrive: 1.5Mb free space
Video: Mono, CGA, or EGA
Mouse recommended

To install to HD:

Create a directory (ie: C:\ACAD) and copy all files from the floppies
to your harddrive. Run Acad.exe and the setup menu should appear.
The default config will run okay on most machines. Configure (#5) your
specific hardware if you can't get the video, mouse or printer to work.
I suggest you leave the video set to IBM Enhanced graphics and switch
to Microsoft mouse if your mouse doesn't seem to be working.
Version 2.17 was first ACAD to support IBM AT's/286 cpu's, version 2.18
is basically a "bug fixed" 2.17 for better 286 support. I have ver 2.17
and it is very quirky on anything newer than an XT.

Tested under Win9x and seems to work fine for those who wish to try it.

Supposedly can be run from a Dual floppy computer by placing disk1
in first floppy and disk2 in second floppy >> untested and doubtful.

Note from Readme:

AutoCAD version 2.18 supports AutoLISP for ADE3 and TRAINING packages.
AutoLISP is an implementation of the LISP programming language
embedded within AutoCAD. It is an extension of the "Variables and
Expressions" feature. AutoLISP is contained in the ACADL.OVL file on
the EXE disk. (If you have an ADE3 or TRAINING package.)

Installation of AutoCAD is the same as on previous releases.

Enjoy............ Ho!
